Thomas Bart POLLOCK, 79, a resident of Parke Co. since 1945, died Monday Jan 1, 1962 in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville after being seriously ill since Dec 20. He was born Jan 27, 1882 in Meade Co KY the son of Samuel and Melvina Sweeney Pollock. On May 12, 1907, he married Artie Chappeinear Union Star, Ky. He was a member of the Byron Christian Church. Survivors include his wife; 3 sons, Herman; Ivan and Owen; two daughters, Mrs. Ed Chism and Mrs. Clyde Poole; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Baum; 15 grandchildren; 3 greats and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were to be held Thursday in the Byron Christian Church with Rev. John Servies officiating and Rev. Hugh Dooley assisting. Burial was in Freedom Cemetery with Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in charge. -- kbz
